Suggested Uses:

While you can use this rubric in a variety of ways at school, some suggested uses are included below:
  • Teaching about the IEP participation process
  • Practicing routines for the IEP meeting (e.g., reviewing the IEP, identifying needs, preparing for the IEP meeting, creating goals, reviewing created goals, and progress monitoring)
  • Re-teaching and supporting self-advocacy skills
  • Getting to know the IEP process
  • Send home to prepare with parents/caregivers or review afterwards for a student-centered process
