This resource walks you and your students through using fidgets and sensory tools in the classroom. It is student-centered, supporting the student’s sensory and fidget needs to help them focus and feel prepared for activities and work across the day.
It is editable – we prioritize making these types of resources editable because each classroom, student, and the language that is the best match for your/their needs are different.

PROMOTING NEURODIVERSITY + FUTURE-FOCUSED WORK
We want to support you in creating a neurodiversity-affirming classroom, where students are practicing self-regulation and self-advocacy in a safe space and sensory tools are the norm.
The language used in this resource is not one size fits all, but it gets you in the right direction if you need to individualize it. It is student-centered: how can the student feel best prepared and focused for the activities across the day. It is written in a direct way to help outline expectations, support, and how to use the accommodation.
