Make conversations fun with this winter-themed set of activities! This resource focuses on the different types of conversations, sharing your thoughts and ideas, and supporting others in conversation. A great way to support conversations in a neurodiverse group of students!
Students can learn about what turn-taking may look like for each other, what topics each other likes, and the context to different types of conversations. Plus, students can practice in a safe space to chat.
Can be used with students across support needs and abilities. We recommend this activity for elementary students (given the snowman clip art), however, it can be used for students in self-contained settings up to high school. We’ve included visuals and word banks for students who need more support.

We want to support you in creating a neurodiversity-affirming classroom, where all students are learning about neurodiversity, communication differences, and learning from each other. Students may learn about neurotypical social norms, but they are not enforced, and neurotypical students learn about neurodivergent social norms and skills too.
